Getting Started
Lipex takes a couple of minutes to set up. Here's the short version.
1. First launch
When you open Lipex for the first time, a short onboarding walks you through picking your app language (35 available) and a look for the app. You can change both later in More → Settings → Appearance.
2. Connect a repository
Lipex doesn't come with any reading content. To browse catalogs, you connect a repository — a URL that tells Lipex which catalogs are available to you.
- Go to
More → Settings → Repositories. - Tap Add repository.
- Paste the repository URL and tap Add.
See the Repositories guide for the URL format and details.
3. Build your library
- Open the Browse tab and pick a catalog.
- Browse Popular/Latest or search for a title.
- Open a novel and tap Add to library.
Everything in your library lives in the Library tab, where you can group novels into categories and search inside them.
4. Read
Tap a chapter and you're in. The reader is where Lipex shines — themes, fonts, custom colors and backgrounds, text-to-speech, and more. See the Reader guide.
5. Optional: downloads, tracking, backups
- Offline reading — download chapters from a novel's page and read without a connection.
- Tracking — link AniList, MyAnimeList, Kitsu, or MangaUpdates to sync your progress.
- Backups — back up your library locally, to Google Drive, or to a self-hosted server from Settings.
